About RCCC
Radcliffe Child Care Center offers a stimulating educational program in a warm, nurturing setting. Each day, children explore materials on their own, participate in small group projects, join together in the whole group for stories, songs, discussions and play outdoors. There is time to peruse a book alone, to create small block constructions with a friend, paint a picture, cook, and to learn about people, nature and the world we live in through firsthand experience.
Children are encouraged to grow in independence, curiosity and initiative, at the same time that they learn to cooperate, respect others and to form relationships based on trust, fairness and sensitivity to the feelings of others. Teaching is individualized to respond to each child’s readiness to develop talents and abilities. Children are grouped by age so teachers may offer materials and activities geared to differing stages of development but each group shows the usual wide range of normal development.

Director
Nicole Lavargna
Nicole’s career in Early Childhood Education started in 2002. She started as an infant assistant teacher with Partners Child Care Services and her career flourished there over the course of 19 years. She pursued her Masters of Education and received her degree in May 2018 from Salem State University. Pursuing her Masters degree while working full-time as a Director was one of the busiest and most challenging times in her life. The reward, however, was graduating on what would have been her mother’s 60th birthday, knowing it was her who was guiding her along. She took a short break from child care, and found she missed working with children. Watching each child thrive in an environment that is supportive, engaging, comfortable and built on trust is not only rewarding but shows our impact in their early years. Working with the teachers that choose Early Education as their career path is a wonderful part of the job. It takes a truly special person to work with young children and she’s always admired the teachers she worked with as they navigated best practice and worked to positively impact each child’s life. She loves working with the brilliant team at RCCC and helping to mold the minds of the littles ones that walk through the doors each day.
